Welcome to the Saugatuck Yacht Club

On the Banks of the Kalamazoo Harbor...

Founded in 1934, the Saugatuck Yacht Club (SYC) was established to bring together individuals with a shared passion for water recreation, social gatherings, and sailing education for children. SYC encourages active member participation in club-sponsored events, including annual traditions like the Spring Burn Your Socks event, Fourth of July and Venetian celebrations, as well as programs such as Adult Sailing, Tennis, and Pickleball. Nestled on the shores of Lake Kalamazoo, the SYC Clubhouse and Sailing Pavilion provide a welcoming space for families and friends to connect and enjoy the water.

With approximately 900 members, SYC is built on a foundation of sailing, camaraderie, and responsible stewardship of our harbor community.

The Saugatuck Yacht Club Sailing Program (SYCSP) is committed to developing multigenerational sailors and instructors by fostering teamwork and life skills on the water. Offering instruction for sailors of all levels, SYCSP prides itself on high-quality lessons, well-maintained equipment, and opportunities to compete with the fleet. The program actively participates in local and regional regattas as part of the West Michigan Youth Sailing Association (WMYSA).
